| ...there goes the sun! |
It's a shame for kids, who are now at the beginning of their school holidays, who can't play outside or get the paddling pool out or have a picnic with their wee buddy's. That's the type of stuff I used to love doing when I was a nipper. I was never indoors I LOVED playing outside, even in the rain, but the sunny days were always the best. When I think back to the glory days of being a child outside playing with all the neighbourhood kids nearly all of my memories feature glorious sunshine. Even during winter when we were in the garden building a snowman there was still sunshine. We're right in the middle of festival season and Scotland's biggest music festival, T in the Park has just come to a very wet and muddy end. I also know of a few people who have either attended or had a wedding in July who have not been able to have any pictures taken outside because of the rain. It's ironic really, most people in the UK attempt to have a summer wedding (specifically July) because there is a better chance of having some sun. Not in 2012 it would seem. But hey, it's only the 9th day of the month. Let's hope things brighten up along the way - we really do deserve it!
Peace and Love
TT
